About me

Marissa Gabrysch Cope

I’m thankful to live my life in complete dependence on an utterly faithful God through the work of Jesus Christ. I live in Dallas, Texas with my husband and our daughter, and work at Heroic Media, a nonprofit organization using mass media to connect women facing unexpected pregnancies with life-affirming pregnancy resource centers.

  1. Thanks for your work. Please check out my blog. – I am hoping to encourage those who are serving in this ministry and to find others who will join us. Sorry about post on your other blot – I had not read about you yet.

  2. Hi Marissa! I saw your story through a pro-life site, and I was so moved. My husband and I have adoption on our hearts to add to our biological family, and I have been overwhelmed by the significance of adoption as it relates to how we have been adopted into Christ’s family. Thank you for sharing your story. It is beautiful. God is writing such a great story!

  3. Marissa,
I am a Christian author who writes novels that tackle tough topics in our culture today. Two of my books have strong pro-life messages ~ one from the perspective of a couple yearning for a child but facing nearly insurmountable infertility issues, and the other from the perspective of a Christian teacher ministering to a troubled and pregnant teen. I would love to share these stories with you (without charge) if you feel they would be useful in your ministry.
Coincidently, it was the babysitter of our two children who was very instrumental in leading my husband and me to the Lord, so I smiled when I heard your testimony.
Blessings to you as you speak for the unborn. ~ Rosemary Hines, author of Out of a Dream, Through the Tears, and Into Magnolia. http://www.rosemaryhines.com/books

    • Hi Rosemary, I’m so glad to know about your books and the way you’re using the gift of writing to share the hope of adoption! I’d love to read your stories! And how neat to know your family was also impacted by a babysitter sharing the gospel too. Thanks for your comment.

Congratulations on your baby girl!!! We had our first son, Levi, in March and he was delivered by forceps as well. It was an extremely traumatic experience–Your biological mother MUST HAVE been a champion!!
My husband works for Campus Outreach at the University of Houston. We have lived in the city for a year and a half–I was wondering if (assuming) you have connections with Pro Life “pregnancy centers” here in Houston? I know there are several. I am interested in long-term impact through Gospel transformation and discipleship! Do you know of any places that are really focused in and are doing that well?

I’m adopted. I loved how you stayed strong through out your life about being adopted and found God in the situation. I should have found this when I was a teenager.

    • Thanks for your comment, Christina! I hope you’ll continue to see how God is working in your life, from your adoption to the details of your life today and into the future – He cares about it all!
